Overcome Your Fear

Overcome your fear of rejection.

This past weekend we did some test marketing of the new Concept Church video into the Dallas market. The results were great. In the course of 4 days we reached close to 20,000 people on FB and over 1,000 people internationally on Google. From those people 55 received Christ. Many wrote in and we are working with them via email to help them find a local church.

But one comment was most interesting.

The owner of a popular bar in the Downtown Dallas area viewed the video on Facebook. His comment has been removed to protect his identity. But his comment was this:

“You can take this video and shove it up your a**.”

In sharing the Gospel you receive all sorts of remarks. They don’t offend me, if anything the love in my heart grows when I see remarks like this. I have tremendous peace in the midst of rejection. Why?

Their response is up to God.

Our job is not to convert anyone, the Holy Spirit does that. We are here to simply share the Gospel, that is our job. To tell people that God loves them and He sent Jesus to die for them.

If they reject it, they reject it.

My job is the share the Gospel at whatever cost.

As Christians we have to get over the fear of rejection.

America is falling away because we are failing to share the Gospel. We are scared, afraid of what people will think. Consumed about being relevant and hoping that we will attract people to Jesus.

The problem with that thinking is that Holy Spirit calls people to Himself. It isn’t our clothes, music, hipster glasses etc. It is the Lord that brings people to the Himself. The part we get to play in the process is sharing the Gospel. God does use our voice to speak through us.

The American Church is like the guy who doesn’t have to courage to ask out a girl for fear of rejection. The solution? You just grow some courage and go ask her out. If you get rejected fine! That will help you overcome your fear of rejection.

We are looking for people willing to share the Gospel on 11-12-13.

Looking for men and women that fear God, not man.
